A proprietor of a goodies store at a market in Jacobpura was robbed on Friday night by a man using a scooter, who allegedly snatched ₹10 lakh from him. The police said they checked the photos of CCTV cameras mounted near the spot to pick out the snatcher.
The incident comes nearly a month after a garment shop owner changed into robbed and murdered near the Jain temple in Sadar Bazar.
According to the police, Yash Kalra, the sufferer and owner of Hari Sweets, was taking walks in the direction of his vehicle, parked near his shop, around 10. Forty-five pm, when the accused guy snatched the bag of cash from him. “I started out strolling closer to my automobile. I began wearing my bag, which contained around Rs 10 lakh in cash, collected from the income over 3 days. Suddenly, a person on a scooter came and snatched my bag. When I screamed for assistance, my personnel ran after him but could not catch him,” Kalra said in his first data report.
