6 Must-Have Restaurant Supplies Equipment to Buy

January 4, 2022
in Food Updates

Buying restaurant supplies and equipment are among the difficult tasks of starting a restaurant. Unless you already have a fully functional restaurant, you have to pay more attention when buying pieces of equipment and supplies.

Restaurant Supplies Equipment

Efficient and high-quality supplies for restaurants should ensure increased output and better performance in operations. However, because there is substantial investment associated with buying them, you need to be careful, especially when purchasing the following equipment and supplies:

Article Summary show
1. Cutting Boards
2. Knife Accessories and Knives
3. Ovens
4. Coffee Cups
5. Slicers
6. Mixing Bowls
In Conclusion!

1. Cutting Boards

Many chefs prefer thick and big cutting boards. This is because small cutting boards can work for slicing lemons into wedges. However, chopping and cutting necessary for many recipes need a big surface area.

Thickness is also important since thinner boards are prone to warping. Many kitchenware stores have a wide selection of little planks, which look like clipboards.

2. Knife Accessories and Knives

Most supply stores are reliable, affordable, and near indestructible. Challenger and Victorinox are one of the best chef’s knives, but other brands come at a reasonable cost.

For instance, Kiwi knives cost around six bucks, but they are a great brand. Their blades are extremely sharp, and they mostly remain that way for a long time. Some might even take approximately eight months of frequent dishwashing and daily use without going blunt.

3. Ovens

Ovens are important pieces of equipment in the kitchen arsenal. For example, if you have a bakery, you will not require a similar oven used in most fine-dining restaurants. However, the kind of oven you need may rely heavily on the kind of restaurant and dishes you will serve.

Choosing a good oven is also a long process, which is why you should know what to buy. If it is your first time buying an oven for your restaurant, ensure you consider the following factors:

  • Function
  • Quality
  • Size

4. Coffee Cups

The best custom paper coffee cups will allow your customers to carry beverages everywhere they go and use them as marketing items for your restaurants.

From the branding to the color of your cups, different factors will go into customizing them. This not only enables customers to enjoy your hot coffee but also promotes your restaurant in the process.

5. Slicers

Slicers usually come in two varieties. These are the slicers for produce and deli/meat slicers. Ideally, a meat slicer is a must-have supply for any sandwich or deli shop.

Though many restaurants don’t require meal slicers – meaning they will need slicers for produce. These produce slicers are smaller pieces of tabletop equipment, which can slice around eight onions in half in just a few minutes.

6. Mixing Bowls

As far as the basic supplies are concerned, there is no need to splurge on fancier sets, especially when buying things like mixing bowls.

Rather than that, look for a local supplier to get dishes in all conceivable sizes. Glass and stainless steel bowls can be suitable because they can withstand many years of use and may cost you just a few bucks.

In Conclusion!

Among the biggest investments, which go into starting a new restaurant are equipment and supplies. The kitchen supplies and equipment should be able to withstand busy restaurant use.

Normally, buying restaurant supplies and equipment is a science and art. However, it would help if you considered various factors when buying these supplies, including the size of your kitchen, quality, and effectiveness.
